To finish off the month of October, we would like to thank everyone for counting down our favorites this month. In the last segment for this column we are going to share our, and hopefully yours as well, best of the best. These are the films that defined, redefined, then deconstructed the genre. The reason Horror is so fun is because of the intoxicating blend of familiar tropes and shocking violence, sometimes mixing humor, sometimes drawing from real-life experiences, and almost always as a metaphor for the human experience.
