The Vaquero Marching Band performed last Saturday as part of the 2024 Annual University Interscholastic League’s high school band intermission in Mercedes, helping the band prepare for their upcoming performances and showcase their “passion.”

Their performance consists of 5 snippets of songs, such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Pure Imagination, Paint it Black, Into the Void and Requiem.

Charles Greggerson, director of athletic bands at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley said being able to perform in front of the RGV community is having the “opportunity to represent…the success of [UTRGV] students.”

“Our final goal is to share our long term project with our audience…share our passion and joy of music with them,” said Greggerson.

The Vaquero Marching Band will be participating starting at 7 p.m. on Dec.6 at the Night of Lights Parade in Edinburg.
