Mission Statement
Pulse Magazine is a student led organization that aims to provide visual and literary elements to the Rio Grande Valley community and beyond. Our stories range from topics discussing immigration to featuring notable individuals here at UTRGV. Our staff members utilize our outlet to develop skills in journalism, photography and graphic design to humanize our often misrepresented region of Texas.
Our Origins
Pulse Magazine is an award-winning student-run magazine at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. It began as Panorama magazine at the University of Texas Pan American over 10 years ago. Following Panorama’s tradition, Pulse provides high quality content on people, events and issues at UTRGV, the Rio Grande Valley and beyond. The magazine publishes an annual print version in the spring and provides content year-round on its website and social media pages to engage our readers.
