A Senior Diary
Dear Pulse Magazine,
Throughout my time at Pulse, I began to realize my potential in my Graphic Design Career.
It was funny to know that my “portfolio” was just images pasted in a Google Doc form. I did my best to show what I can do and I honestly thought I would not get the position because of my rushed portfolio.
My best success was when one of my graphics won in the ADDYs Awards. It was so funny because it was out of nowhere and I had received a text from the previous editor in chief that my graphics won. I was surprised but excited at the same time.
One thing about me is I am often not fully confident in my work or skills. Where I think I need to perform better and create stronger graphics. But working at Pulse helped me grow my confidence where I believe that I am a graphic designer.
In the end I am here, with one year working at Pulse and I have learned a lot.
From knowing how to work in a fast-paced environment to refreshing my memory on how to write.
I enjoyed my time at Pulse, I enjoyed making graphics. I wish I could have stayed for another semester to be with my coworkers again. I will miss you all.
Love,
Vanessa Vega
