The Vaqueros started their season off with a win on Friday by defeating the Southern Illinois Salukis 8-4. Redshirt junior infielder Thomas Williams and sophomore infielder Easton Moomau led the team in hits with two each. The Vaqueros next home game will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday against North Dakota State at the UTRGV Baseball Stadium in Edinburg.
